Notice of Proposed Changes to By-Laws
With the
change of the National TROA name to Military Officers
Association of America it is necessary to revise the Chapter
By-Laws. The following are changes to be voted on at the
November General membership meeting. By-Laws will be
revised where necessary to conform to new
changes.
Article I
- Name
Present Section 1. The name of this organization shall be the
Arizona Chapter, The Retired Officers Association, hereinafter
referred to as "the Chapter".
Proposed Section 1. The name of this organization shall be the
Arizona Chapter, Military Officers Association of America,
hereinafter referred to as "the
Chapter".
Note: This change will bring the Chapter name
into conformance with the recently approved change for the
National organization.
Article VIII - Board of
Directors
Present Section 2. Elected officers or directors shall be
elected biennially by the membership at the annual
meeting. Each elected officer or director shall take
office at the first regular or special meeting in the calendar
year following election and shall serve for a two-year
term.
Proposed Section 2. Elected officers or directors shall be
elected annually by the membership at the annual
meeting. Each elected officer or director shall take
office at the first regular or special meeting in the calendar
year following election and shall serve for a one-year
term.
Article IX -
Officers
Present
Section 2. The
elected officers shall be elected biennially by the membership
at the annual meeting. Each elected officer shall
take office at the first regular or special meeting in the
calendar year following an election and shall serve for a
term of two years or until a successor is duly elected and
installed.
Proposed Section 2. The elected officers shall be elected

Present Section 3. No member shall be eligible to serve more than
two consecutive two-year terms as
president.
